Title: Capilano Camera - Anybody getting a picture?
Post by: GoldHammeredCroc on September 29, 2005, 09:45:32 PM
Not getting a picture for a while now.  Can anyone explain what this mean in non-computer talk?  "Camera Not Updating? Call it yourself at 904-4180 using hyperterminal or telnet, hit return for user and password and type ... sz fullsize.jpg .....Image will download to your computer".

What would I type in to get this image?  Thank you

First of all you need a dial-up modem (one that runs on your phone line).  Type "hyperterminal" in your Find program. If you don't have the program installed you can install it off your windows cd.  Once in the program skip through the auto dial then type   atdt604-904-4180 when it prompts you for user hit return then return again for password.  then type     sz fullsize.jpg.

This is the best way to access the camera because it is updated more frequently and is more reliable than the webpage.
