Title: Fishing in Beijing
Post by: DragonSpeed on September 14, 2005, 02:17:19 PM
I have a friend who is in Beijing for a few months.  Here is one of his observations on the local fishermen:

. I was out and about the other day on my new bike and noticed [1]these older gentlemen in the canal one was digging the fish out with a shovel , I saw him with possibly a dozen small fish in a net bag and then another chap with compressor, WOW: I thought right away of the Vedder canal.  The other end of the canal has quite a bit of water as you can see from the [2]pictures and these people were using proper fishing rods.  The fish are no more than 4 to 5 inches long, I think it is some sort of a Bass.

Fun all over the world.

looks like the water is quite polluted with blue green algae booms. Yup, we have got to be grateful. Even out NPM is a better fish than what they are fishing. Gosh, we are spoilt.  ;D
