Title: Michael Phelps
Post by: Thug on August 14, 2004, 09:47:34 AM
Is this the guy to break Mark Spitz's record of 7 gold medals in one olympics? He's got a pretty good shot. He's a swimmer for the USA. In his first event just now he shattered the world record by almost 3 seconds for gold #1.

The Americans came in 3rd in the 4 x 100 men's relay. Best Phelps can do now is to tie Mark Spitz's records. What a race by the South Africans !

well you're close there fish 4 life, but not close enough  ;D.  shane mosely, barry bonds and jason giambi and many other athletes had to testify infront of a federal grand jury for the use of victor conte's BALCO labs.  this guy made a new steroid it was called soem crazy long name, tetrahydrogestrinone, or THG.  it was undetectable, but then a doc developed a test for it and tons of athletes were tested positive at teh US outdoor track and field championships.  so far havn't heard of any new substances.

Isn't it just like an American to be cocky enough to say that he can beat Mark Spitz record golds in the pool?  I hope he doesn't win one.

another gold in the 200 medly.  Thats .... 4 now?  He won't break Spitz' 7 gold medals but he may win a total of 8 medals which ties a record.  Still cocky though..
