Title: Train derail
Post by: bobby b on September 14, 2020, 05:39:27 PM
Just saw this news ...

https://vancouversun.com/news/cn-freight-train-derails-west-of-hope/wcm/c91c4448-5db9-44af-97a4-e744427e851a/

It states that the train derailed into  'into a body of water'....  The only body water I am aware of there is the Fraser.

Hunter creek. That creek is just a trickle this time of year... they had diverted the creek earlier this year and were doing work right in the creek bed. Not sure what for maybe the pipe line. Of course this is really bad news as 60 rail cars of anything is horrible, however there are far worse things then potash to go in the river. Trying to be optimistic.

Potash is really no different that concrete when ot touches the skin. Its still extremely bad if it gets into the gills of fish. I'm very troubled by this disaster.
