Title: 5 minute epoxy

I have a salmon rod with a loose reel seat.
If I disassemble it to get under this reel seat, can I then repair things with 5 minute epoxy?
I know how to build up a support for the reel seat to center onto the rod.
Thinking I could get some stronger construction glue or epoxy for more money, say $20 instead of $1.50 from Dollarama store???
Opinions/ results you could advise me...

5 minute epoxy will work fine. You just need to work fast.
We use 15 min epoxy for rod building but I think 5 min epoxy is plenty strong.
Not sure I’d trust dollar store epoxy, though.
