Title: Bending a Spool on a Spinning Reel
Post by: Seahawk on December 04, 2018, 09:19:41 PM
Hi

I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas, or links, on how best to bend back a spool on a spinning reel without breaking or doing damage to the reel itself?  I ended up dropping the rod/reel onto the road and it has caused the spool to bend, which causes it to rub a bit with each rotation.

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Never done that before, ouch.

I would talk to Mikes. They could help you out.

Ask on this forum if anyone has a spool kicking around.  I have a new one that came with my pflueger (President?) reel and and old reel that the stem got weak.  Others may have similar.  What is the reel make and model?
