Leafs need a W to tie series 2-2 if not 3-1 will be a nail in coffin. What LA Kings go down to defeat in 4 straight!!! All close games though. What Ducks go down 4 straight !!! They were outplayed in at least 2-4 games. Unreal. Old legs. Other good series going on. Sorry but not cheering for Jets or Leafs.
Got so much respect on Vegas Knights in how they have played all year & in the round 1. They just work hard skate hard & just go go go in the defence or offence. They just are always skating & not standing around letting the play come to them.
They should get by the Sharks in 5-6 games is my guess. Will the Leafs get by Boston? Good chance.

Read this after the Leaf loss tonight. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!! Had to laugh at your post FA.
Guess as it turns out you are right.
But hockey does hold many surprises. I'm 63 yrs old & the NHL play offs has amazed me.
Was it LA Kings down in series more than once down 3 games to zero & they climbed back to win the series & go on to win the Cup.
Boston just may get soft headed & think it's in the bag but the Leafs get some goals & W's & gain the momentum. Then suddenly the Bruins panic & Leafs can not do anything wrong.
For the Leafs it's play one period at a time & climb back into the series.
That goal by Marchant in the 2nd period was sweet though.
As long as the Leafs skate hard anything can happen.

The Leafs will be trading in their hockey sticks for golf clubs in a few days. A few might even trade in their sticks for badminton racquets to join the Leaf advisor in a game or two. Speaking of the advisor, where is he ? Must be busy planning their annual parade. :)

Jets look like an on fire team at the moment. They have a lot of good hockey players but can they mentally keep strong.
As the roar gets louder by the fans & pressure builds some teams just so hyped up they can't get a good sleep & their game goes "south". Burn out mentally. If Jets can just enjoy the moment & play as they are doing they just may make a good push right into the finals.
Look at the goaltending tonight also. Jets got a great performance as did Avs & Flyers. Nashville had all sorts of good chances but got only 1 goal.
Very exciting hockey as the games mean so much. Lose 4 & ya go home.
Leafs better come up with their best game. Boston is the new enemy of the Leafs. Years ago it was the Canadians. Boston just seems to get under the Leafs skins somehow. Should be a good game on Sat.

Leafs should be so happy to be up by 2 goals but if Boston keeps getting power plays they are going to tie this game up. Refs seem to see the Leafs penalties but totally blind when Boston commits trips hooking cross checks roughing on & on...
Come on Leafs you can win this game.
No way should the Leafs get kicked out after 5 games. Were they not favoured to win Lord Stanley in 2017 by some experts ? If they lose tonight in 5 it will be a big big disappointment. And with at one point 4-1 lead.
Let's see what the third period brings. Prediction: Leafs will win game this game 5.

Anything can happen in hockey. If Leafs keep skating & Anderson keeps sharp they have a chance.
But Boston looks every bit as good when they beat the Canucks in the finals to win the Cup.

Leafs & Bruins played a fast. & exciting game. Both goalies played super super super.
Anderson made so many incredible saves. One save in the first was from a wrist shot close in by Marchant that got thru the pads but the puck went on an angle across the entire front of the net.
If not for Anderson the Leafs would be history.
He has been the difference. But the Leafs did skate hard & did have good chances.
From being down 3 games to 1 to now a tied series 3-3 anything can & will happen in game 7.
Bruins right now are fighting the "we were ahead 3 gamed to 1 & what if we lose game 7 in our building?" That will feel like a "kick in the b_ _ _ s."
Chris must be needing oxygen & a dry shirt ad he must of been so so excited watching his team. Give the Leafs the credit. They have not rolled over & died & waved the white flag.
Sadly Toronto had a chap run down people on the sidewalk earlier in the day. So sad.
Sad news like when Sedins retire & bus & semi collision. Just never know what can happen on a daily basis. Good & bad in this world. That's because there's the eye in the sky (God) & the bad one in the underworld. All the best to the Leafs & Chris in game 7. Whatever happens the Leafs again have gained much respect as they got in last year playoffs. Two great teams going at it. Bruins are happy the game is in Boston. They will have the Boston fans in the building cheering them on. Tensions will be strong so it may be unwise to wear a Leaf jersey in Boston. Leaf fans may get attacked should the Leafs win game 7.

Well FA was right...Leafs get kicked out. Just a matter of time he stated.
Bruins were the better team. Out chanced the Leafs by a large margin in the series. Can't expect Anderson to make circus save after circus save ...
Leafs dif give them a scare though.
They were ahead by a goal in the 3rd but they just got into a defensive mode.
They should of checked hard & keep the puck on the Boston side of the centre line.
Leafs need some good blue liners.

OK my memory has been jogged. Your the Nashville fan who talked about the record noise levels in the Predators home rink. Well Bible Thumper came out of retirement hoping to get that Cup for Nashville ,for his wife Carrie Underwood & himself. Think many here on this forum will be cheering on the Jets as they are the only Canadian team left. Both teams are so evenly matched vis all areas. Goaltending defense & offence. Saying that it could be finished in 4 to 7 games. Just never know the hockey bounces or how human beings respond to the pressure. All it takes is a few hidden injuries or a few players losing their confedience. A few weak links. Ask Leaf fans about a D man. Guy gave up the puck in his end often by being out worked or by a bad clearing pass which led to Boston goals.
Jets & Preds both have a good blue collar effort. Think it will be a hard hitting game. If a team gets up by a few goals in a game it will force the behind team to get less physical & try to get goals.
All the best to both teams. Let's see if the Nashville fans can set new noise levels. :)

Got busy doing stuff & was going to post last night but then fell asleep.
Ya FA as it turned out 7-0 as you know. What a blow out. Sharks outshot the Knights in the first period but Fleury was sharp the entire game. Knight players entered the Shark zone with their skating & stick handling skill. They did the same against the Kings. They are looking good.
Pens win over Caps. Holby was playing so great stopping tons of Pens shots in periods 1 & 2.
Then in the 3rd Washington got up 2-0 so it looked like it was lights out for the Pens.
Boom !!!! Like a explosion & egg on the face 3 goals by Pittsburg!!!! Win 3-2. That has to hurt & Washington was in their home rink "to boot". Greedy Pens want another Cup Ha!!!

Jets take game over Nashville.
Looked easy.
Nashville is the classic case of skating around fast but never finding the puck. Like they go go go sweat sweat sweat but where's the results????
TNA team better put their thinking caps on before they lace up their skates.
Sharks yesterday looked like a veteran team that had too many days off so they got lazy & need a prime up game to relearn their skills. They should play better on Sat.
Or is the Vegas team just much better than them thus the 7-0 score????
Dave & FA are letting Chris know that the Leafs are on vacation after round 1. No Cup for the Leafs just a exploding cigar & kick in the rear end.

Only watched a few minutes between Pens & Caps. Caps win & tie up the series.
Jets & Preds had a very very exciting playoff game.
Preds win in 2nd OT.
Before the winning goal Rennie got his glove on the puck & it deflected to the corner. It was a full slap shot & labelled.
The Nashville Predator team has so much heart & really skate hard. If you see a big & small dog being walked side by side,the big dog takes 2-3 steps while the little dog is taking 4-6 steps just to keep up. It just seems to me the Nashville team has to work twice as hard just to match the pace of the Jets.
But give Nashville credit because they live by "if there's a will there's a way".
What ever team wins this series they will have to work for it.
Honestly I hope the Predators beat the Jets & kick them out. Jets are a good team but they have players that only Jets fans will love or the player's mother.
Nashville had very likeable players. Boo Jets Keep it up Nashville. ;D

Tampa beats Boston. Series tied 1-1. Marchant on a break gets his hand hooked & he lost control of the puck. No penalty or penalty shot ?
Vegas & Sharks OT again. Vegas gets the winner on a super play & super placed shot. High corner shot on the blocker side. Both teams had chances on OT & it was just a matter of time what shot would go in.
Both teams played hard & it was a very close well played exciting game.
Sharks could of won this game as they played well.
Great series.
Pens vs Caps & Nashville vs Winnipeg Jets tomorrow. Those match ups are very close good & exciting hockey.
Sharks vs Knights & Jets vs Predators in my books are the best series right now to watch.

Anyways .... pens lose to Caps 4-3 in a very close game. Caps lead 2-1 in series.
Jets take it to Preds even though they got behind in this game 3-0. I had to make supper & could hear the cheering so I thought there was a fight or something. Went & checked & it was 3-3 !!! What 2 quick goals to make it 3-3 !!! No wonder they fans were going nuts. Jets were very aggressive & the Preds put their tails between their legs. Sorry but that showed me the Preds are scared of these guys.
Now I hope the Jets take this series so in turn I hope either Sharks or Knights will give them a hockey lesson they will not forget. If the Jets try to push around the Sharks or Knights it will be tit for tat.
I know the Jets are the only Canadian team but their are some total JERKS on that team & no respect from me. Oh they have desire skills on & on but...
My real respect & admiration of a team is totally the Knights. They are always moving & go steady steady steady...when the forwards have the puck they are skating hard & the other two forwards skate hard & look for open ice and then options develop. Pass or keep skating with the puck & go for the net or shoot ...did anyone see the goal by the Knights the other night. Shot or pass from the blue line & a Knight player deflected the shot at a L angle or 90 degrees in one motion & it goes to his teamate on the far side of the net. He pots it in ( wide open net ) even the Great One & Mario L ,The Flower,Espo, Howe on & on never had a bang bang play like that!!!! Well ok maybe. ;D

I am writing off the Preds as they are toast. In all my hockey years there is zero chance 0% that they will win this series against the Jets. ZERO totally ZERO.
They had no answer to the Jets comeback.
Ok FA if Jets get into the finals ,I'll mourn for a day or two that the Knights/Sharks got kicked out & I'll cheer for Jets if they face Pens.
But if Jets vs Caps then will cheer for both teams. ;D
But Manitoba / Canada some what really have lots of cheering fans !!!!!! Over flow crowds watching outside tv screens etc...

Would of liked to watch this game between Tampa Bay & Boston.
Understand the goalie for Tampa stood on his head in either first or second period stopping lots of quality chances so Boston kinda got so disappointed they barely did squat in period 3.
Knowing those Bruins they are really grouchy & moody right now. ( give them a baby bottle ) Tamps has home advantage again.
TNA a fan of Nashville has not posted anymore on his team. I think he sees 20/20 now that without Neale ( now with Vegas ) they lost lots of their offence. Winnipeg has rough housed the Preds ( bullied them ) and they just took it. When the Jets rough house you the deal is give it back immediately.
Ref will just send two players off to the sin bin.
Gee the Sharks are on fire tonight. 2-0 after the first period. Knights did have some chances & one shot hit the post. Long way to go in this game. Have a feeling after tonight this series will be tied 2-2.

When the smoke clears maybe whatever teams moves on will be so beat up they will be easy pickings in round 3.
Worst game by the Knights by far. They were due for a bad one because they have played so hard & good. A series has it's up & downs & this loss with bad teams they keep going down ( skid) but with a good team a bad loss only lights the fire & they come back with a great effort.
And the game is in Vegas & so there will be high energy.
Sharks are going to want to score early to deflate the crowd & the Knights in game 5.
Prediction: Vegas wins by 2 goals.
If the Stanley Cup is between Jets & Bruins expect a super dirty hard hitting fighting boarding slashing hair pulling choking eye gouging series...... sweat the blood & the beer. The games will be like the fight in the song : The boy named Sue. ;D but Bruins I do not believe can get to the finals. Jets if they keep it going has a good chance.

So there was some information on twitter about a guy that was sitting in Nashville near the Jet's bench and they were chirping Byfuglien. There were some Jet's fans sitting behind this guy and the guy would yell something about how Byfuglien and these fans would laugh. Toward the end of the game, they told this guy they were Byfuglien's parents and loved it. So, not even sure their parent's love them :)

And sorry I've been gone. Been a couple really busy days. Our last second period sucked, bad. Despite that, we were still tied. It took getting called for 3 consecutive penalties and completely losing our composure to give up a single goal for them to take the lead. We spent close to half of the third period down a man. Yes, it was horrible and we can't play like that and we can't afford another period like the 2nd but given all of that, it was still within reach. We stay out of the box, keep the pedal down and don't let them get back into the game, I'm not counting us out yet. Tonight's game will likely be the deciding game. Preds win, series tied 2-2 and home ice in Nashville will be huge and I think the Preds take it. Jets win tonight, I don't think we can win 3 in a row and so likely Jets take it. I have seen all year how the Preds have had a stinker of a game, really struggled, pulled their head out of their you know what and come out the next game and completely dominated (see game 6 against Colorado for a good example of that). If they do that and keep that attitude, Jets are done. For some reason we have had serious problems keeping that attitude though. I think we will have it tonight though.

Last year we had that killer instinct until we played Pittsburgh. This year they are having trouble with it for some reason. You never know though.
Heck, after the first Vegas Sharks game, Vegas was going to take it easy. Now.... definitely not the case. Same with the Caps first loss. but now the Caps are up in the series. Both us and the Jets have goalies that can get hot and completely shut down any offense with the proper defense in front of them for multiple games. They have the edge currently but if the Preds show up hungry this could still be fun.

TNA you know FA & others are really pulling for the Jets. Guess I should too as I've got tons of relatives in Manitoba who are Jet fans. ( if they knew I was not cheering for the Jets ...they would hold a serious grudge. They take their hockey very serious. )
Honestly it was such a melt down by the Preds I really think deep in their hearts they have given up.
They know they will have to put out 150% energy to Jets 100% to beat them. Then they know there would be two more rounds...that's a big mountain. But but but ...maybe they really are angry at these Jets & they would consider it an honour & feather in their helmet to kick this team out.
As ya said tonight's game will show what both teams are made of. The series is the end product not an individual game. Maybe the Preds will surprise as ya said they can have a really stinker game & then dominate the next one. As the Bible verse goes " as a man thinks so is he "
Think negative the man is negative ...think unforgiveness the man is bitter & hurt ...but think positive the man is hopeful. If the Preds can get in the mindset ...the last game is water under the bridge...now let's go to war tonight boys...so it's also as a team thinks so they are...

Yeah, I know I am in the likely minority here and don't begrudge anybody for rooting for the Jets.
That being said, I think last game we likely saw 80-90% effort from the Preds in the first period and then assuming they had it in the bag and dropped to 50% expecting to cruise. We haven't seen 100% effort from the Preds and I fully believe with 100% effort, there isn't a team in the NHL that can beat them. I don't know why we haven't and I'm hoping last game woke that up in them. There have been a couple games during the regular season where we did see that effort. Most of the time it came after a real stinker. The next game...... it wasn't fun being the other team, lowest shot total on the year, completely shut out, 2-3 high danger shots all night, and their goalie feeling like he is the ball picker up at a driving range just getting peppered all night. Please lets see those Preds tonight.

Ok I am in total shock. TNA insights are coming true before our eyes. He stated his Preds can play a total stinker game but rebound & totally dominate any team in the NHL team.
The Jets look so deflated or 1/2 the team they were 2 days ago.
Preds are also more aggressive & it is the Jets with their tails between their legs.
It's like the two teams changed uniforms.

Jets get a goal in the 3rd but with too little time on the clock so they go down to defeat. Honestly the Jets looked so deflated & a shadow of themselves it was an embarrassing effort. Cinderella story..it's midnight & the mask has been ripped off & these Jets are exposed who they really are. A crappo team.

Preds went back to what worked last year, the 1-3-1 trap and completely shut down the break outs and stopped the puck in the neutral zone. When the puck did make it into the zone, it was a weak dump that either quickly went back out or it got in with very little setup. That easily could have been a 5-0 game. This was the game plan we used to destroy Chicago last year. I think it is possible that the Jets get one more, probably game 6. The Jets stadium is hard to play in but so is Nashville. We are just as loud. I believe we still have the record from last year.
I don't expect the rest of the games to be that one sided but unless the Preds crap themselves, I'm sticking with my prediction yesterday that this series will be the end of the Jets. It's kinda sad, wish the Jets were on the other side so this series could have been for the cup. I truly believe these are the two best teams.

What really got me was how non aggressive the Jets played. They let up on their hits. Last game the Preds were picking themselves off the ice but it was the other way around last night.
I mean this was a game in Winnipeg so the Jets should of gave out the hits.
Knock a Pred on the ice & the fans cheer loudly & it gives energy to the team.
If Nashville plays this 1-3-1 trap as us call it & the Jets do not give out body checks to counter it some what .... Should Preds go on to meet the Sharks I will cheer the Preds. If they meet the Knights I will have to cheer Vegas. S Hopefully Nashville or Knights have something left in their tanks after they go head to head for 6-7 games!!!! Should it develop that way. Nashville in the finals were kinda beat up & tired after going thru 3 hard rounds. Hopefully the teams on the other side will beat themselves up.
The east games are mainly lots of skating & plays. The west & mid west are hard skating & physical.

If done effectively, the trap can be boring hockey but it is very effective and frustrating. It is very difficult to get the puck into the offensive zone with any good structure. It just takes you completely out of your offensive game. It also allows for some quick break aways and odd man rushes the other direction. There aren't good opportunities for a lot of hits if you are in the neutral zone or doing a weak corner dump and then trying to get the puck while out of position.

Boston lost in OT. Tampa tied the game in the 3rd with many thought a penalty should of been called on them before the goal. Then Tampa wins on a side shot across the net that gets deflected in. Big loss for the Bruins in their own building. Bruins down now 3-1 in the series. No room for error as they need 3 straight W's to go on to the next round. Marchand back to his old tricks. The old lick in the face trick.
Marchand should get 10 break away per game. Just stick handle down the ice with his tongue out. Players will part to the left & to the right & he'll be home free on the goalie.
NHL may have to bring in a new rule next yr known as the "no licking other opposing player" known as the Marchand rule. ;D
Wow 4-0 was the score between Vegas & San Jose & then bang a penalty ( weak penalty call ) against Neale & it's 4-1 then 4-2 then 4-3 ( 3 goals in 6 minutes ) Fleury must of been sweating with still over 2 plus minutes to go & 6 attackers ( empty net ) Vegas pots in the easy goal. End 5-3.
Sharks have sensed blood & they now know if they kick up the heat / pressure they can score some goals. Well it's 3-2 for Vegas in the series so look for a big push back by the Sharks in game 6.
Knights will be disparate too as they want to avoid a game 7. What a series.
This hockey we are seeing is so full of drama. Great exciting games. Sadly only one team can be declared the winner of the Cup & all other teams losers. Like the game snake & ladders. 15 teams will slide down the snake's tail over & over but 1 team will hit the ladders all the way to the top. Stanley Cup.
Think the Sharks scared the Knights tonight. Who has scored 3 goals against them in 6 minutes ?
Once that seed of shock enters their minds & that positive thought gets into the Sharks minds it could be the turning point in the series. Knights better get back to their game plan quick & hammer down or else.

They just cannot go full out in the playoffs because their bodies just wear out/tired/sluggish.

They are a hard working team as look at all the pts they got in the season. But maybe they should of paced themselves more in the long season so they would have more go-go or fresher legs in the post season.

Just finished watching the Knight vs Shark game. Watched the replay as it was too sunny & too many other activities to do. Vegas wins the game 3-0 & the series 4-2.
Honestly both teams played very good & so did each goaltender but the score could of been 4-3 or 5-3 for the Sharks with any justice. In total they must of hit 5 posts/crossbars in this game. Plus at least 8-10 wild chances / scrambles in front of the Vegas net. How they got a fat 0 is unreal.
Anyways it is now Vegas vs either Jets or Preds. Tampa vs Pens or Caps.
It seemed the Shark players got more & more down because after busting their butts to score they then had to chase the Vegas players going the other way....
Bust their butts to score & then bust their butts to chase Vegas going the other way.
Then 1-0 then 2-0 then the final sword / harpoon to the bull's & whales back.

They so far have not allowed their heads to get "too fat". Keep humble & play hard each game till the end. Game 5 the Jets looked so good & Preds so bad in the City of Nashville. Jets again had it all set up in Winnipeg with 20,000 plus in their building plus 1000s & 1000s gathered outside.
Game 6 ya would of thought the Jets would finish it & not play a stinker home game 2x in a row.
They get 3 power plays in the 1st period & nil.
Preds Rennie goaltender played very well & gets the shut out.
Preds really gave out some heavy body checks as well.
In all my 63 years of watching NHL hockey I've never ever seen ???two teams look so good one game & so bad the next :P ??? :o >:( :-[ ::)

Sorry guys. Life has taken me away from the computer for a little bit. I barely got to watch the game on Monday. Thursday will be awesome. If you look at the stats, attempts, shot, high danger shots for all 6 games, they are either tied or off by one. Two very evenly matched teams and it depends which teams show up tomorrow. I still feel if the Preds show up, it doesn't matter which Jets team shows up. If the Preds don't show up though, Jets need a decent showing and will take it. I can't see them not getting up for the first game 7 in Nashville though. I predicted the winner of game 4 would win the series and I'm sticking with it. Preds in 7. You will be hearing my shouting if you watch on TV.
And I will just say, Filip Forsberg is a beast. Man that guy can score some crazy goals.

We hear about team chemistry a lot. Think it filters from the owners pres GM coaches & players.
If ya can get an organization that truly has harmony & no neg. feelings top yo bottom everyone on the same page & everyone is positive & all actually like & respect each other & of course the players have the skills desires & goal to win it all ...that team will be focused & work there butt off & give effort in games from the regular to playoffs. But if there is something wrong with team chemistry as in a coach is not respected or liked or someone high up is not liked or a few players just do not get along it will affect team chemistry. If there's some tension on a team or organization a team will play up & down. It will show on the ice. Ever try to have a great day after an argument with the wife? It lingers till effects fade away like a dying camp fire. Heard in the Jet's practise a few weeks ago a few guys nearly got into fights or there was a fight ( ???) is that team chemistry? Body communication says a lot & ya can see tension on the bench or a stressed out team. The players look quiet & confused or dazed. Coach looking like wallpaper. But look a a bench & the guys are rubbing their nose or turning their heads,chatting it up ...it's a loose at ease focus bench. A head coach moving & looking & talking & focused.
A coach like a Iron Mike maybe a coach like Torts ??? they try head games or aggression or outbursts...& it works with some teams but some players will rebell against it. Too much "under my thumb" treatment does not fly with some players.
Add in a team that lacks chemistry & put in the extra extra stress of 2nd 3rd & finals playoffs & the players just start to really tense up & fall apart.
Of course I'm just generalizing & the Jets & Preds possibly have great team chemistry & it's just the stress of the situation that is affecting them. They may just want to win so badly it's giving them sleep problems / can't relax properly ad they are so pumped up.
If a player can use the excitement to get them motivated & play harder great but if the excitement is stressing them out then it will affect their performance.
These two days off should be good for both teams. Two days to get rid of the stress & refocus.
The team Jets or Preds that can just relax mentally/physically & then start up the engines on game day will win. But maybe one team is so ready to go but their two goalies stressed out & the other team is so stressed out but their goalie slept good & feels great & ready to stop whatever shot that gets thru to him. Slapper deflections dekes ...nothing getting by him. That's why the drama of the playoffs is so so exciting. Unknown. Let me be real & tell you a secret. Pulling for the Knights as ya know but I would be very happy as well to see the Jets the Preds the Caps to hoist the Cup. If Tampa Bay ok but my least choice. Would be happy to see the Jets win it all as it would be their first & a team from Canada. The Preds because they truly for the most part are a very hard working team. The Caps because of OV & a team that has played very good thru the years. Most superstars get to hold the Cup in their career.
Saying that nice to see FA & TNA recent posts & their cheering for their team. Wish your teams to have a great game & one that's exciting & close. A game where both teams play their very best hockey. Winner off a post on a perfect shot.

This has to be called the yo yo series. A team plays great & other lousy. Next game the other team plays great & other team's turn to play lousy....on & on till game 7.
In game 6 the Preds played great & Jets no good.
Game 7 tonight the yo yo effect lives. Jets play good & Preds lousy. No focus no legs ...90% of the time they were chasing the Jet players.
But after two quick weak goals past Rennie the Preds were behind the 8 ball early.
Congrads to Nashville for a great season & for getting past the first round & going to game seven.
Honestly if Nashville got the first goal & Rennie was on his game the end could of been different.
Nashville fans are total class. Cheered the team even in the embarrassing humbling loss.

My boys did not come ready to play last night. Not sure what happened but if you can't get up for a game 7 in your own home.... They did much better after the first two goals until the end but just couldn't put the puck in the net and being down it was too big to overcome the slow start. They started taking risks and pushing and that opened up the other goals. Sad end to a great season but at least we have all our main players locked up for quite some time. Backup goalie is top priority this offseason. Got to lock him up as he is the future.
Ellis is next year but I think we will be back next year just fine.
Good luck to the Jets. Vegas seems tough but I think the Jets will take them. Sort of hoping the Caps win it all though.

Honestly it just looked like the pressure / stress of the situation did them in. They just got too pumped up & juices flowing even 24 hrs before the game that when game time came along they were over stressed or stressed out. Nerves got to them. Those two first goals would of been stopped easily if it were a normal game. But game 7 & pressure the shots looked like a slippery jumping bean ...
Watching replay of Wash / Tampa game 4-0 after 2 periods. Looks like the Caps will win this one & I think the Caps will win series.

Those refs are homers. Knight player tripped up behind Jet net. He went down like a ton of bricks. No call ??? Then the Knight barely hooks the Jet player ..feather touch & hooking called. What????
Refs are Jet crowd pleasers in this game for sure.

Tampa got a penalty against their goalie. Ref claimed he tripped the Cap player !!!

Like taking candy from a baby. ( mind you Jets did hit some posts. 2-0 foe a long time & that 1 goal gets it within a goal. ( dangerous ) jets have played a lot of playoff hockey & coming off a recent 7 game series while Knights rested up. Jets really had to dig deep to keep up with the fast skating. Think their legs got heavy 1/2 thru the game. ( tired) while the well rested Knights skated flawlessly. Nevertheless the Jets got some very dangerous shots to the net.

Actually FA if the Jets had any puck bounces or a few things go their way they could of won the last game. They hit posts. Also in the first few minutes of the game the puck got by Fleury but died or was cleared...plus a lot of a Jet shots got thru & only good saves kept the score low.

Well let's be honest for 10 secs. Jets took over the 3rd period & Knights held on "barely".
Fleury had to make 4-5 game winning saves in the last 15 minutes. In the 3rd it was 3-2 & how the Jets did not tie the game is crazy after all the good chances they got!!!
Where did that speed come from ? Jets were flying & it was the Knights who got tired.
Jets are a very good team. Their European star player must be injured as he looks average out there.

Gotta give both teams credit though. Each game them guys played their hearts out. When a team gets even into the 2nd round & of course 3rd it's a grind & each game full out skating & punishing body checks. Jets & a Wild was not overly physical but Preds & Avs & then Jets were very hard hitting.
Knights have come thru 3 rounds of fast skating & very very physical games. Kings & Sharks style of play is hard hitting & while the bodies are on the ice they get odd man scoring opportunities.
Hope Wash. & Tampa play two more games & get extra tired ( even a couple of 3-4 O T games thrown in the measure. ;D )
Well TNA said in past he like the Caps ! They are a good team. Nice to see OV & his teammates hoist the Cup. OV plays hard very night & every year.

As for the Knights they will be rested & ready to go. This team has great team chemistry & they just do not bend in pressure situations. Fleury has really surprised in his play. He has played great all year.
But it's not what have you done for me lately it's what have you done today that counts. The present game of the day. The finals the goalies have to "keep it together" mentally as the pressure keeps getting higher & higher. If your goalie has a bad game it 's like a car or bike getting a flat tire. Motor trans ok but your not going far. Ask the Preds in game 7. Flat tire ( goalie had bad start ...team got behind the 8 ball ) Honestly am happy if the Jets got the Cup ( but it's over for them ) or Caps / Tampa / but am hoping for Vegas. Whatever team wins it will be a good choice.

Well there's 9:22 left in the game & the score is 2-0. Watching replay as was out all day. Oh Caps got a penalty. Great game & the Caps are playing like they want to get this W in their building but more important get it to game 7.
Both teams have very good skating skills.
Both goalies playing super.
Washington has the better effort in this game and good % of the play because of sheer will power.
2:21 left & still 2-0 the score so quite safe to say game 6 is predicted to go to Caps.

Just finished watching the game. 10:25 pm finish. Watched the recorded / rewind Telus version.
Wow 4-0 Wash over Tampa Lightning in game 7 in Tampa as well.
Down 3-2 in games & Caps win 2 straight.
Game 6 Caps hammered & pounded Tampa all night with punishing / hard hits. Think Tampa was still bruised up from that game.
Caps are a great skating team. They take 5-6 quick strides to build up speed & then they bend their legs & then just glide around for twenty yards till they again take quick strides & then glide....glide they get their breath back. They also have quick turns & skate backwards nicely. All in they play a good system & offence /defence & good goaltending. Ya to be honest I am pulling partly for a Washington Caps as OV has been that hard skating player thru the years & just for that reason would be happy if Washington wins the Cup.
But I have to cheer on Vegas because have been cheering for them since round 1 so gotta cheer for them hell or high water. Caps sure must be favoured & look to be the best team as FA said it well " a team of destiny " but Vegas had a 4 game series & then 6 & then 5 so they should & off for a week so they should be fresh & ready to go full out.
Caps though look like very in shape muscular good powerful legs strong upper body,heavy shots,great passing on & on... Only time will tell.

Normally do not drink beer but after beers put on the replay & literally was watching the opening music & "let's get ready to rumble" Michael Buffer (sp?) & next thing I wake up & it's 4-4 third period.

Watched today (Tuesday) & what fast skating. What action. Caps did their thing. Knights did their thing.
Smoke cleared & Knights get the W ......barely.

One play the Cap player made a perfect pass to a Cap player standing in front of the net with Fleury out of position. The net was totally wide open & the puck only two feet in front of the net. Cap just had to shoot it into the WIDE OPEN NET & he missed it.
Vegas Knights army has grown. Defeating the West land air sea & now the Caps are invading...they are here. Vegas Knights come out of the lit up helmet !!! Grapes was wearing the Knight jacket at ice level before the game. Guess that was not appreciated by OV & Cap players & Cap fans.
Fleury in the league 14 yrs & OV 13 yrs...they have been a thorn in each other's butt.
Both teams great skating teams skilled & can play physical. Toss up who will win the Cup even though Vegas up 1-0 in games.

Had tons of things to do today so watched the game taped /recorded at 11pm.
Hard fought game but Caps definately deserved to win. They skated hard & at times seemed like they had the puck on a string. Actually Caps or Knights could of won the 1st game & in many ways the 2nd game was a toss up. Caps/Knights tied up 1-1 in the series.
Caps have played bad games in Washington but they smell blood like a shark & they want the CUP.
No room to play lame games when in the finals. Knights will regroup.
Next game is two trains same tracks each going the opposite direction. Only one team will win game 3 after the smoke clears.
Wow this is top level hockey & joy to watch :)

Wash. should have at least 4-5 goals at this point because they have had so many chances. Puck stopped or they shot wide or hit the post. Knights should have 1-2 goals but they fanned on shots or shot wide or Holby made the save. Knights also have hit 1-2 posts.

Are the Knights crazy ? When Caps have the man advantage they are not pressured at all so they set up at will. No checking at all. Makes it look like a 2 man advantage instead of 1.
Caps can just blast the puck with no pressure on power plays.
Caps are taking over this series. More aggressive more checking more offence ...
They look so full of energy & it's the Knights who are looking more tired trying to get the puck away from the Cap players.
Hockey is hockey & full of surprises sometimes. 2-0 so next goal is big big big. 2-1 anything can happen & 3-0 will be a nail in the coffin & no way Knights at that point will win game 3.

Knights fanned on so many shot attempts or got their shots blocked & they shot wide so many times.
Think the Knights have not faced a team like the Caps. Caps just go full out 60 minutes with no let up.
It's the Knights who are bending to the pressure.
( side note BC Lions played exhibition game in Calgary. Orange / reddish jersey & black pants & the Stamps wore their reddish tops & black pants.
It was a staring match or had to take that extra look as both teams blended in & harder to tell who was who. Must of been hard for the QBs to pick out their man "crazy" )

I 'll watch the first 10 minutes of the game tonight on the replay. Understand Knights had chances oh no another Cap goal. When the going gets tough the tough get going. Let's see what the Knights are made of. If Vegas loses tonight it 's 3-1 in games & it's good night Irene I think.

All Vegas has to do is score goal every 5 minutes in the third which will make it 4-3 & then score a goal in the next four minutes. That will tie the game. The final minute Vegas scores in 59 secs.

Yes the Knights have & are feeling the pressure of the finals. They looked overwhelmed in Washington but as they realize their backs are against the wall they seemed to play more offensively in the 3rd period in game 4. Of course penalties got more goals for the Caps.
Honestly if the Knights win the next game in Vegas the series is 3-2. Then the Caps know they want to win so bad in game 6 or else it's back to Vegas for game 7 & they sure do not want that to happen.
Vegas has to play like they can & check hard in their end & play 1 period at a time & see what happens.

OV is a Super Star & all Superstars should get the Stanley Cup in their career. But it takes a team effort to win the championship & they are deserving for sure.
Knights had a great season & played super kicking out the Kings Sharks & Jets.

CFL football looks so slow & boring compared to a good competitive playoff NHL game.
Honestly thought the Knights would of won at least 2-3 games in the finals.
Guess winning 1 game is better than the NBA Golden State Warriors beating the Cleveland Cavs 4-0 in games for their 3rd Championship in 4 yrs. 3 W's & 1 loss in the finals in 4 straight yrs.
