I assume edible would imply readily biodegradable, at least compared to regular plastic. I wonder if this could also be used for things like straws, cups, stir sticks, utensils, plates etc. I would be cool to have a BBQ at the campsite and be able to compost all the disposable stuff.

--Well we did until people convinced the world that paper and wood products only came from rapid non-sustainable deforestation and old growth forests.
--food grade Knife, fork, spoon, and coffee stir sticks made from wood...used to be produced in Vernon area. Chopstick factory using Aspen northern BC.
