Title: Centre Pin Reel Repair
Post by: wookie on February 20, 2018, 04:05:34 PM
Hi all, I was curious if anyone knows of a local centre pin reel repair guy or gal?
I purchased an older prototype of a Kingpin Sovereign Reel off of this forum about 2 years ago and need some work done to the bearings and click check.
I've asked around at several local shops and they don't deal with Kingpin Repairs......any suggestions that don't involve shipping the reel to Ontario?

Thanks!

Only one reel repair company in the valley worth my business. Express Reel Repair. The guy there is amazing. Faster than Mike's, cheaper than Mike's AND he does a better job period.

My consern is that this might be considered a custom repair, as Kingpin reel parts are very hard to come by.......

Just call Kevin and ask. Personally I would never take a reel back to Mike's. My experiences with Mike's have not been that great. But that could be just me. Kevin at Express is fantastic.

I'd take it to Kevin at Express Reel. Off the #3 Road exit.

Thanks for the input guys!

Express Reel Service stepped up and Kevin was able to do a custom fix on my centrepin reel in short order! Cost efficient as well.
Would definitely recommend him to everyone.

Cheers!

If you were a member of the BC Federation of Drift Fishers, you would have got a 10% discount at both shops.
