This project had been planned for a few years. Good to see it is finally happening.

Some more restoration work in the upper river has just been completed ... lot's more spawning gravel was placed at the Middle Creel bridge abutment. This is a site buck and I have identified as a prime steelhead, chum and pink spawning area.
This work was carried out by DFO's Habitat Restoration Unit, the same group that was to be disbanded just recently, until people sent letters and voiced their displeasure. Again, thanks to all who helped overturn this very poor decision.

news such as this is great to hear. just wanted to thank people such as you fellows for your time and dedication. balancing a job, mortgage and families leaves little time for some to participate.

Checked Middle Creek bridge abutment spawning gravel placement today and it looks great. The gravel
pad is high and dry at this time and is about half the size of the pad at the outlet of Chilliwack Lake.
