Can quite make out the reel...Shimano Stella? The rod is a Shimano Clarus

What rod, reel and line was kitty using?

The rod is a Shimano Clarus 9' spinning rod, rated 6 to 10lb. The reel is a Shimano Sahara 2500.

How far up the Pitt River were you, while fishing?

We started about 10km upstream from the Pitt River Lodge and ended the drift at the lodge.
