Title: Halibut Curry
Post by: Dogbreath on June 20, 2017, 12:14:48 PM
Halibut chunks in curry sauce

Marinate the pieces of fish in small amount of Tamarind paste & grated Ginger-set aside then fry a small chopped Onion and a Tomato in a heavy pan-add 1.5 teaspoons of Sri Lankan Curry powder, & half a teaspoon each of Garlic powder & Turmeric and a tiny sprinkle of Asafoetida-throw in some large Cinnamon trees leaves (so called Indian Bay leaf).

Once the mixture starts to sizzle add a cup of water with a vegetable bullion cube and allow to simmer for 20 minutes then dump in fish marinade & all simmer until fish is cooked through- just a few minutes.

Serve with Basmati rice

Note there is No Added Salt in this dish something I'm quite proud of.
