Title: Illegal Garbage Dumping
Post by: chris gadsden on May 22, 2016, 09:47:58 AM
Of course the Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Society has been dealing with this since Rod and I started the CVRCS back in in 2002.

Now a number of groups have come together to tackle this continuing problem.

This isn't just a problem for Chilliwack/Vedder but the whole lower mainland.
When you have to pay to dump garbage this problem will exist.
It costs $10 per mattress or boxspring to take to the dump which makes it pretty inviting for some to just dump wherever.
I watched a truck that was loaded with garbage about to dump it at one of the dyke parking areas on Neaves Rd in Pitt Meadows.
I turned around and they decided to leave.
I followed them almost to the Pitt bridge and ruined there whole plan.
No doubt they just went somewhere else and dumped it though.
