Title: Stockingfoot wader neoprene bootie replacement?
Post by: VAGAbond on May 03, 2016, 08:40:36 AM
I have a couple of pairs of breathable waders but the booties are leaking.   The older waders that I quite like leak along all the bootie seams.  I haven't investigated the leak on the newer set yet but it seems to be just one spot so far.   I have found that Simms will do bootie replacement on their products so it must be possible but mine are not Simms.   Is there any outfit doing generic bootie replacement?   Experience with this?  Cost?

Funnily, I have two sets of much older Bare non-breathable waders that have seen considerable use and yet the booties are good, they leak other places.   My latest set of breathable waders is only a year old and leaking already.

Edit: Aquaseal has not solved the problem with the older waders despite extensive application.   For the newer ones that is an option yet to employ.

Check your warranty.
Aqua seal  and other products can solve some problems.

Contact a dive shop.
