Title: Sumas River
Post by: FlyNut on July 19, 2004, 08:46:43 PM
I keep passing by Sumas River travelling on Hwy 1.  I really like the look of that river. Slow, meandering, and very nutrient rich-looking.

What's the situation there. Has anyone fished it (fly fishing or otherwise).

Thanks in advance,

FlyNut

FA and Doc, I like Rainbows, not into carp...

Looks like a beautiful river for floating a tube... and some fly fishing.  I presume it is very slow all the way.

Up by Vye Rd. there is actual current.
Doc, so what is the best way to fish Vye Rd. area.  Casting from shore, or launching a float?

Fish from shore, look for posted private property.

Thanks, Doc.  Will give it a try :D
