RIO Skagit i Flights are easy extremely easy to cast for beginner or advanced spey casters. With an intermediate front portion these lines are just perfect for winter steelheading. Like all other skagit lines a sink tip must be attached to complete the line, since these lines have an intermediate tip giving you a very slow deep swing that is perfect for winter steelhead fishing. USA made and made tough Galvan fly reels have become one of our top selling fly reels and for good reason they are absolutely bullet proof. Machine out of one solid piece of aluminum and anodized for saltwater usage these reels are built to shut down even the strongest, fastest most powerful fish. Not only do these reels have a drag system that has been flawless they have the largest most heavy duty spindle we have seen in a fly reel. Under load of a large fish a reel that doesn’t have a large enough spindle (what the spool is sitting on) can torque over and rub against the frame of the reel, with a Galvan fly reels this is essentially impossible.
