Post by: RalphH on November 08, 2015, 05:39:46 PM: Do you know for sure that this is a #8/9 rod? That's all you'd need to know. The Iron Feather was Fenwick's premium rod back in the mid-80s before the brand was shifted down to low to mid price range. It would be a very useful rod for salmon and steelhead.

I just read the name was re-introduced on Taiwan made product and wasn't equal to the US made rods from around 1985 or so. If it came with a tube - is it aluminum and does it say Fenwick on it? That may indicate the earlier (better) rod Either way it should be a useful rod.
