Title: Stolen not lost, red tackle box
Post by: Fisher2014 on August 12, 2015, 09:59:03 AM
Watch out for a SUV that is snatching tackle boxes. Some loser stole my small red Plano plastic tackle box on August 1, 2015. This was near the parking for the No. 3 Road fishing pier in Richmond. My tackle box had my fishing licence, several lures, blue-handled scissors, Husky pliers, and other terminal tackle. This was about 2:00 p.m. This reinforces my dim view of Earthlings.

Any description of the SUV or occupants?  You should notify the RCMP as well.

Were the thieves fishing as well? How far away was your box when it was stolen?

Thank you cutthroat22 for the advice. I have filed a police report but I gather this is not high on their priority list.

Hello Blood_Orange. The thieves were not fishing but were driving past on the Dyke Road. My tackle box was about 3 metres upslope of me while I was climbing down the river bank. Better luck to you.

Certainly not high on priority list.  But if say 2,3 or more people file police reports with similar descriptions it helps.  Richmond is not a high area for petty crimes so would be easier for RCMP to spot misfits with a few descriptions.

Wouldn't hurt to post description and/or occupants of SUV on here as well.
