Today begins my emotional rollercoaster ride with the round 1 of the playoffs begining. Canucks vs flames should be a great one... I say nucks in 6 what are other members predictions??
I hate the flames by far the most in the league just because I got lots of family in calgary and they sh*t talk alot!
I found this Fcuk the flames shirt for sale and I picked up 3 for me and my buddies, just incase anyone is interested I figured I may as well share it.

Ya posted the word "tomorrow" but I believe the Canucks & Flames play today.
7pm start.
Sens vs Habs in earlier game.
Plus 2 other games.
Prediction Canucks in 5.
Games should be close though & definitely not easy wins.
Canucks better bring their "blue collar lunch pails"

Don't think there is a clear favourite in this series. Both teams are fairly balance. The only edge I would give the Canucks is that they have more playoff experience.

Tons of great saves by both goalies but when the smoke cleared the Flames win 2-1.
Getting that late goal must of had the fans in Alberta jumping out of their chairs / sofa.
Chicago beats Nashville in OT even though they were behind by 3 goals. Wow unreal.
Habs best Sens only by a goal. Close one
Islanders beat Caps handily. ( by 3 goals )
Wonder if Torts is cheering on Calgary.
Maybe he 's hoping the Canucks lose in the 1st round.

The only sure thing is the Canucks will disappoint as usual.. I think it was a bad year when the Canucks and Sabres came in as neither won cup yet many that came later won cup and multiple times....

Close loss to the Flames in game 1 but with 9 minutes to go & the score 3-0 Canucks will even it up.
Next games in Calgary should be "nuts".
Crowd will be loud.
Sens lose another close one in game 2.
Nashville in the 3rd have scored a bunch on hustling / & sniper shots thus have pulled away.
The series tied over there.
Torts definitely not cheering on the Canucks or the Flames.
Got turfed by Vancouver & he does not like the head coach of the Flames.
Who would of known Lack would be the starter for the Canucks in the playoffs.

They played the first period well but 2nd and 3rd seemed as though they had lost their legs and the flames were twice as fast as them. it was shitty watching them turning over pucks, slipping falling everywhere and the play was lob sided for most of the game. game 4 they should bring it I believe just like they did in game 2

Hopefully the rough play by Calgary has not affected how the Canucks play.
Some teams tense up & play badly if there is hard hits & fighting.

Its like they gave all they had in game two and ran out.of gas for game 3 And 4. I don't know what to say knowing what will most likely happen.

Right now the CBC & SN sports tv media are saying how great the Flames are & how the Canucks not so.
Then the sports newspaper guys are 2 nd guessing playing 4 lines so much.

Talk about tearing down the team spirit.
If the Canucks are going to go all the way thru 4 series they only will do it as a team & keeping the ice time 25% for all the lines.
If one sits lines & plays other lines too much it will add to one conclusion.
The overplayed players will tire & have no gas in the tank after 1-2 series.
Plus when you sit lines it takes away confidence of players.
Canucks can win tonight & then in Calgary & it's game 7 in Vancouver.
Easy as pie as they have nothing to lose & the Flames start to get too defensive.

Flames hit post & have had a lot of chances. Great saves by our stopper.
Flames in their wins were very physical & gave out hard body checks.
They had the edge in game 5 during the 1st period ( last game ) playing physical.
In the 2nd period ( last game ) they stopped hitting & tried to skate with the Canucks.
Net result the Canucks won.
Today's game ( game 6 ) the Flames again are not hitting !!!
3 goals in 4 shots !!!!!
Mind you very well placed shots.
Still 9:41 to go in the 1st period.
Hockey is full of surprises.
Nashville vs Chicago is a great series.
In the 2nd period 3-3
Hawks lead the series 3 games to 2.

Some will say wait until next year, yet next year or next decade never comes. I dunno what the Canucks need to do. I doubt they will ever win the cup....

Yep you hit the nail on the head. They blew a 3-0 lead in a must win game.
Time for major player changes.
Canucks have a non physical fast skating style but on a small ice surface they just get muscled off the puck & they totally lost battles along the boards.
Maybe they could go far if they played on European sized ice.
The Canuck defense should of knocked the Flames on their butt in front of the net.
Flames just went after rebounds that came off their 1st shot at the net.
Ryan Miller plays angles well but he gives up rebounds.
Calgary vs Ducks should be a war.
Both move the puck well & both are physical.
Canucks just cannot play 60 minutes of fast transition hockey.
Not physical enough for battles along the boards & infront of thei net.
Ryan Miller ok for 1st save but rebounds mean goals against.
Chicago I believe will be champs this year but till then will be cheering on Canada teams that they will hopefully win it all.

Not all the tea in China would have me get on the Leaf payroll.
Nevertheless looking at the Canucks folly in the playoffs was painful.
Look at the play of Chicago Washington New York (Rangers) & Anaheim.
They play hockey in high calliper style.
Ducks are skilled but physical as well which will wear down a team in the best of 7 series.
Sadly Habs & Flames look out of it even though it is still early in the series.

Oops we may have to eat our words. The Flames tied up the game with very little time left on the clock & then in OT they got the winning goal.
Series now 2-1 in Ducks favour.
Calgary got life & it just may be a good series yet.
Habs gotta win the next game or Tampa Bay will be 3-0 if they do not get a W.
