Title: Turn down cork machine
Post by: 2slow4me on March 04, 2015, 03:01:29 PM
Does anyone have a home build type of cork turn down rig pics, wouldn't mind sharing?
Thanks

I don't have pictures, but my first rig was a drill zap-strapped to a plank.
The other end was a block of 2x4 with a bearing embedded in it (I think from an inline skate wheel). A 1/4" unthreaded bar was my mandrel.
It worked fine as long as you didn't press on it too hard.

I now use a small wood lathe I bought off craigslist.
