Is this your work? If it is, it looks fabulous.

Are you planning an anodizing and refinishing service? Probably a market for it.

Like Jennifer Aniston is hard on the eyes.

Hmmm - you said Jennifer Aniston and hard on, in the same sentence.

I still don't understand - is there an anodizing service being offered or just showing off?

Just showing off some reel i did for fun.
I mainly anno paintball markers, car/bike parts or anything make out of good aluminum.

I don't know about hard on the eye...every time i'm out fishing, guys would stop by and admiring them.  lol

Is this one hard on the eyes too?

Very nice work

Anodizing is a dip to achieve a desired color, but you show a print type, to a work of art similar to a vacuum suck up some dedbrids

Thanks
Took me a few years of tried and error to master it.
I'm the only one that do this custom anodize in Canada.   ;)

Gorgeous stuff!! I can definitely see a market for this in the rod building business, ie reel seats and matching butt boxes.

Thank you for the kind words guys.

A couple of those reel were my buddies, and range from $60 and upward of $100 or more all depend on how many pieces and customize they want and they took the reel apart them self.

Ok the only reasons i try not to get right into doing them are, most reels are made of cast aluminum (aircraft or 6061 aluminum are the best to work with).
A lot of the reel bearings are a real pain to remove and could easily be damage if not remove properly or sometime could not remove at all.  :(
Like one of the Islander i did for a good friend, i mess up his bearings but he was going to upgrade his bearings to the ceramic one anyway, lucky for me. haha

So basically it's preferred if the reel is taken apart down to bare bones ??

I myself really liked the first reel and also the blue one

I have a little Dragonfly reel that I plan to pass onto my kid when he turns 6 this year with his first fly rod. That blue would be deadly for him and he'd love it. Cost ? (reel is similar in design to the G.Loomis one you pictured)
