Title: be careful out there everyone
Post by: Ry the fly guy on January 03, 2015, 12:08:23 PM
Yesterday I was scouting some steelhead spots on the Cowichan river in Duncan and when we were about to drive away from the Skutz falls parking lot we saw cop cars and fire trucks every where, My Dad and I asked what happened once the search and rescue crew were out on the water and the police officer said that 2 drift boats were fishing together when one flipped in the rapids 1 fisherman got onto shore but was soaked and the other got washed down the river and was able to hang on to a log, I'm not sure what happened to the man who was holding onto the log. This was just a reminder to stay safe on the river and to always where a PFD when your on a boat. Thanks for reading.

Did they say where the incident occurred? I drift the Cowie every winter. Sweepers are the biggest danger on the river to Drift boats rowing down the river.
