Ice off on Tunkwa has been progressing very fast, probably the fastest I have ever seen!
As of Easter Sunday afternoon, the ice cover has been reduced to around 40% of the lake, a good wind should see it piled up on the shorelines quick!!!
Talking with one angler who was out for a couple hours today, and success was reported on smaller Chironies and micro leaches. Trout can be seen moving along the shoreline, and all looks good! Leighton Lake is a bit behind Tunkwa, but we will get down there for a peak over the next day or two and report on conditions.
