Title: How to clean Colorado blades?

Anyone know an easy way to shine tarnished Colorado spinner blades?   ???  

Mine gets dull rather quickly..  >:(

Hi there LukeYVR, I heard of a technique a few years back althought I've never tried it. You boil some potatoes up in a pot and then soak your blades in the left over water. It's supposed to make them shiney and new. Now I've never tried this so if your blades sprouts eye's or ears don't blame the Zone.  ;D :) ;D

Luke...I use brass Colorados all the time and carry a can of Brasso in my truck. Just a little on a cloth and a quick rub on the blade and its bright and shiney. Have to do it every time out as the brass blades dull very quickly and the shine sure makes a difference.

After you get them shiny, get some lacquer and lacquer thinner in a 50:50 mix, dip them in, and hang them on a nail to dry.  This will keep them shiny for years (my oldest one is 2 years).

I use Red Bear for copper and brass and Wenol for silver.
