It's pretty much instantaneous. (or at least should be)
That's the same beach we were at. Little fingerlings mostly, and 1 for dinner :D

Worm and weight. Slow retrieve. It was quite a surprise after a few of them were 3" long. :o

Interestingly 74 people have come over to read and look at the pics, and only Norm has commented - here. No comments over on the page itself.
Honestly I'm surprised that it garnered 74 views. Hope it was interesting :)

;)way to go dragon i was up there for the long weekend myself. yep the fishing was good. your pics are fantastic.glad you and the mrs had a good time. i work for the park and it is nice to here good reports commin back from the public.the outflow at the end is a nice place to spend the day and a great place to catch fish. hope to see ya up there and we can sit and do some fishing.cheers pepsitrev

It's about 2 hrs, including Tim's Stop, and worms :) Hwy1 to Chilliwack, then up the agassiz way, and then a hop up along the east side of harrison.

Yeah.... See I get fish! :D That was tasty fish. I have a feeling that they'll get muddier as the weather heats up though.
The slide shows aren't too hard to do as a "static thing" I swiped the javascript from a site that had them for free.

there are 3 campgrounds up in the park one is hicks lake wich is good fishing from boat or shor/next is bench wich has no lake/and then deer lake wich is at the end of the road.there is a small lake called trout lake at the beginning of the road wich offers great fly fishing from a tube or small boat. you can also spin cast or troll a spoon or wedding band.

Hey Dragonspeed - I'm also the proud owner of an inflatable and one of the first purchases I made was 2 anchors otherwise I spent more time rowing than fishing ???
Canadian Tire and Anglers West have some nice (inflatable safe) 10lb anchors that look a little like big mushrooms - I didn't want anything pointy in my boat that increased my chance of swimming but there are cheaper alternatives such as the big cannonballs used for downriggers. Typically you need two so that you can have the length of the boat pointing towards the spot you want to fish - otherwise you get swung around too much - but you can get away with one if cost is an issue.
Then of course you need to buy the trolling motor, the deep cycle battery etc......

Moss Lk. is by there also, but its a walk in. Was that a Rb. or a cutthroat Dragon?
Cuttie. Most were Cutts. The odd smaller Rb.

No kidding - learned that FAST!

I went with the 12lb downrigger ball. I can live with the swinging around. Keeps me working different areas a bit :D

Pleasantly, this little sucker can't take that! So that saves some cash right there!
I am LOVING not being stuck at the entry point of a lake. What a difference!
