Apparently Cattle Point (Oak Bay) Boat launch was blocked off as well...

Quote
I went down and had a look at the blocks at cattle point. For those who haven't seen them, they used 3 large rectangular blocks about 3X2X2, the kind they use to build heavy retaining walls. The cable loops on top for lifting them were cut so they can't be lifted.

Spray paint on one says " sports refuse to conserve with commercials"

Commercial guys complaining, Sport fishing guys and lodges complaining.
Lets just kill everything in the ocean then there will be nothing to complain about.
Cut backs are everywhere.
I made 65% less in commissions in 2011 then I made in 2009...
So I am looking elsewhere to generate income.
Maybe it is time for commercial fishing to do the same.

Seen a fishing show that was filmed in the summer of 2011.
The lodge out of Bella Coola stated they had two Halibut weighed in at the docks in the past week that were just under 200lbs..
How smart is that?
Killing off the gene pool of large female halibut.

I say we are all cutting our own throats on this problem
