Title: Fly rod repair question

I am going to attempt to attach 3 eyelets on my fly rod that have come off,
My only question is...is a standard epoxy going to be ok or does it need to be flexible epoxy?

You also need to wrap thread to hold the guides on. This is more complicated to do by hand than just epoxy work. I recommend getting a shop or one of the sponsors here to do it for you if you haven't done it before.

You need flexible epoxy. Standard epoxy is too hard and will crack and break almost instantly.
Many fly shops sell FlexCoat or other rod building epoxy. You can apply a thin coat with a brush with the rod sitting horizontal. Then turn the rod 90 degrees every 20 minutes for 2 hours.
