Title: Pink Salmon Spawning Information And Gravel Extraction Sites On The Fraser River
Post by: chris gadsden on November 17, 2011, 01:03:32 PM
Here is some of the video I filmed and put on u tube from yesterday as the Fraser River Gravelship Stewardship Committee inspections of some of the gravel extractions sites. Maybe a few of you will like to watch it.

I believe there is some good educational information provided by Dr Marvin Rosenau about pink salmon that spawn along these reaches of the Fraser River around Chilliwack. More to come later. Excuse the wind noise as it was a very cold and windy day out there. Took me while to thaw out when I got back home. :o

This one is showing the bridge structures left in the middle of the Fraser River at Spring bar. Should they have been removed? I think a bit of a navigation hazard. http://youtu.be/MGmgdxBU_xc

Yeah - they should have been removed when they finished.  If the Government is supposedly concerned about the environmental impact (I'm sure some studies were performed before the extraction was allowed  ::) ) then what every work was proposed should have included ensuring that the surrounding environment was left the way it was before - especially the river.
