quite the knockout blow on the last one there

lol nice helmets! true combat fishing!
-
Those fishermen must have strong backs hoisting the tunas up to the deck.
-
Amazing they could land such a big fish without a rod.
However, depletion of some tuna species, especially the giant bluefin, is very serious and efforts have been made to enlist it as an endangered species.
I use to eat bluefin tuna sushi, but refrain from it nowadays.
However, they do taste very good.

great video, just wanted to know if them hard hats are CSA approved ;D and if they did get hurt, how would they try and explain it on their injury report :D :D
-
that's crazy!!
-
I think only the first one is a yellowfin tuna rest of them are bonitos.
-
I have seen on TV of using the same method to catch much larger tunas.
I that case, they had two or three rods tied to a single leader and hauling in really big tunas. Much bigger than the ones in the video.
In that case, they really needed to put on a helmet.
Could you imagine a couple hundred pound tuna falling on your head? :o

They would fit in nicely at Peg Leg. ;D ;D ;D

Saw this video as a result, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWw2o9zgm-o&NR=1 similar to the other video, but it reminded me more of the time I went canoeing in Buntzen lake with my father-in-law, and ran into similar "frantic" action on our way back to the little dock there. ;)
