Title: Wetskins Raingear - Costco
Post by: cutthroat22 on September 20, 2010, 12:01:30 PM
So far I really like this raingear.  It came with pants and an inner and outer jacket (3 pieces).  I have had 4 fishing trips standing in downpours and most importantly for myself when riding my motorcycle in the rain it keeps me 100% warm and dry.  For $89 I think it is a great deal!

Is this the non-breathable stuff. I don't use by wetskin jacket from Costco for any active activity, just too sweaty. Pant is ok for bar style fishing but sweaty for any hiking.

Actually wetskins are pretty good I use the jacket when wading, and if you can wait, wait till the spring they always drop the price to $49. :)

It is non-breathable but it is double lined on the inside and has pit zips.

My previous gear was a vinyl rainslick and that was HOT when hiking.  These are pretty darn good and ventilated.

$49 is a steal, I thought $89 was good for the 3 pieces.

I bought them too. The coat lining does help to prevent condensation buildup. I bought them for sitting in the rain not hiking.

I have 1 ladies set not as durable (lighter rain)

I went back and purchased the mens set and it is way tougher than the lighter ladies style.

I use it for walking the dog , great for mild/med activities....but really how much hard activity do we do in the pouring rain ???
