Title: Grouse 2010
Post by: chris gadsden on September 12, 2010, 11:56:23 PM: Went to the same location at last year but not as much success as in 2009 as I only saw 5 birds. Was please though to pick up 2 nice adults on the two shots I got, was good to be in the woods once again for a 2 day hunt. 6 jack chinooks from the Thompson River and some apples from an old orchard made it a very good trip.

The two I got were blues, will try on the Island later today.

Post by: chris gadsden on September 21, 2010, 12:03:54 PM: After the Senior Games in Campbell River took a drive up the mountain around Chemainus yesterday saw one Blue, one shot, one more grouse in the bag, now 3 for 3.
