Detroit will get in and the Flamers will be golfing. What do you expect from a team that is now filled with ex-Leaf players......

Still enough to sink the ship  ;D
Especially when one of them is paying better than your 10 million dollar man  ;)

Actually both of our ex-leafs are playing well now. Maybe they just needed the right coaching to get the fullest out of them

Remember Lee Stempniak ? Had trouble putting the puck in Lake Ontario when he was with the Leafs. Traded him to Phoenix for a 6th round pick. Now he's lighting it up in the desert

The Flames lost 5 - 0 to the Bruins today. I think that pretty much does it for them. Hard to see them winning all their remaining games. Would have liked to have seen another Canadian team in the playoffs. However, be interesting to see what changes they do if any. Do they stay with Sutter at the helm, or clean house entirely and start rebuilding for the future.

Whoops, after tonight's game the Flames now have a heart beat again after they edged Colorado, 2-1. Going to go down to the wire as to who will  be the eighth place team in the West.

Gosh for the first time we have a similar team to cheer on as I have been a Dodger fan since their Brooklyn days. ;D ;D ;D

Growing up I had a neighbor who played for the Dodgers years before I even met him. He had so much Dodger blue in his home and memorabilia around I was just overwhelmed. I instantly became a fan. Lets hoping for a great year :)

Some great World Series against the hated Yanks many moons ago.

Great way for the Flamers to end the season. Canucks kick the crap out of the Flamers 7-3 with the Sedins putting a clinic on them and chasing Kiprusoff from the net.

Wonder if the GM has the guts to fire his brother as Head Coach
Title: Re: Calgary Flames

IMO it is the GM, brother Darryl,  who should walk the plank. When he took over the Flames, they had been out of the playoffs for a few years and then he had a successful run. However, the team has come full circle as they are now out of the playoffs once again. Team is too old, and too slow. Can't blame the coach for the players the GM signs for the team.
