Title: Squamish River, August 28th 2009

I think even the Squamish may be nearing its peak to end. my dad was up there yesterday and only got 6 in 6hours of fishing all on the fly and he said it was about the same for everyone there he could see. visibility was about 6-8inches max which never helps  :-\

I can confirm Hook's report about the squish.  I met up with your dad Hook - pretty funny as we didn't recognize each other for a couple of minutes.  Yes - the fishing was very slow - and the water is very coloured up.  There are fish there, but I think a number of them are getting "stale".  I did manage to land a few - which is nice.  However, I'm not sure if I'm going back or not this year.  I spoke to a guy who was at Furry Creek earlier in the morning and he said the big schools of pinks are not there anymore.  Hmm.
