Title: Kamchatka Salmon - August National Geographic
Post by: scuntor on July 28, 2009, 09:19:08 AM
There is an interesting article in the August edition of National Geographic that looks at the abundant salmon stocks in Kamchatka. They have huge runs of salmon but the area is being threatened by overfishing and the poaching of caviar. Looks like they are getting some help from the US. Thankfully it didn't say that DFO has offered any help!
It's a good read and here is the link:

Nice Article - sounds like Kol would be a nice river to simply visit and take in the scenery.
