For the experienced guys who pay attention to years past...how accurate have you found numbers at the test fishery for predicting the best day to go fishing?

My experience has been pretty good with it. In years like 2001/2002 and there was 200 fish caught in the test nets...yes the fishing was unbelievable in the upper fraser...fish every cast or two. Then you would see the impact the commercial guys would have and the numbers would go down to the single digits which eventually translated to upper fraser. In years past..when albion is only getting 20 fish in a net..the fishing is as expected. My opinion

Does anyone know if they set the test nets at the same time each day? Just thinking about the tides affecting the numbers.

My understanding is that they try and hit the high tide each day (daylight) so the time they set them each day changes.

Yes the numbers are very good this year in my opinion, Last year at this time I didnt even have one under my belt and as of right now I already almost have a full tag! time to start releasing ;D

By the way these fish are all caught the way they are suposed to be, Bar fishin and not snaggin!
