Title: Whonnock Lake, June 19th 2009
Post by: Britguy on June 19, 2009, 09:10:54 PM
Fished Whonnock lake today
It was so nice up there
only a light shower at lunch time, the rest of the time was cloudy but warm
There were a couple in a boat (with elec motor, naughty naughty)but they did not stay long, think the motor stopped working as they paddled back in ;D (motor ban on this lake)
Then another couple turned up in a small boat, aside from that it was only me out there
hooked a few bows (one 15inch) Three cutties(one 13-14inch) and a whole heap of Black Crappie
There was a wedding at the lake and the bride and groom were having some photos taken on the dock
What a nice back ground for there pics
There was an eagle flying above me at one point so i gave a little whistle, he turned his head dipped his wing and made a beline for what i thought was me, but he swooped the water and grabbed a fish from just behind me, phew! had me worried for a second
so nice to see though
