Seal got her, big slash on the other side from apidose towards her front. Hook, NoCoho and WagonMaster all saw the fish on BCFR ask them. She's a hatch, if you look closely u can see that the fin had been cut and there was a bump, just behind the opening, look at the torn anal fin, and notice how all the photo's are of the fish turned one way so u dont see the huge gash
-
Makes sense just looked fishy
-
Means nice fish ::)
-
Note that the anal fin is pretty ripped up and could well be an attack by a seal that youngun has stated.
-
Younggun, if I were you, I would rather not answer to that request just so cammer can keep his discomfort instead of taking a meaningless apology later. ;D ::) It does not really matter what others think of you as long as you know that you are being truthful.
Why should someone respect another's request when being accused of a liar or law breaker after being so candid to the public? Nice fish by the way, still envying all anglers who have been successful this season and waiting for mine. ;)
Magnify the photo by 200%, one would notice that the white scar is only a very small section of the entire healed adipose bump.

Hey Nice Fish Younggun ......
To all those who are doubting the young lad's integrity ...... my question(s) to you is: "Do you honestly think that he would post a picture of a wild steelhead that was harvested?" Based on this website's positive peer pressure, I think it would not be in his best interests to do this. "Could that whitish colour actually be part of a design on the hoody he was wearing?" If not, then it could be answered by the seal scar explanation.
He has no Legal responsibility to answer any of your "suspicious fin clip" questions. If any of you feel strong enough to report this to the BC Conservation Service, then please do. "Could the adipose fin have been torn off by the Seal attack?" Possibly. "Could the adipose fin have been clipped, and the Seal attack scarred the scar?" Possibly. I highly doubt that a case for any kind of Legal sanction could be brought forth. So my point is that people need to back off and not be so accusatory.
Anyway ... nice fish there lad. Good on ya. Hopefully it will be my turn tomorrow.

Hey Cammer, er Mr. CSI, your a piece of work.
-
rodney hit the nail on the head, look at the white, its directly inbetween the middle of the healed adipose fin, u can see it tapering down on both sides, the photo was taken by Glenn Rezanspn "NoCoho" on BCFR he saw the fish up close and personal, so did "Hook" and "Wagonmaster" on BCFR, the fish is a hatchery she was hit by a seal hard. The mark was starting to heal up and thats why its white, if it had been cut it would be a pinky red colour and i wouldn't post the photo so i could be heckled and persecuted, thanks for all the great comments guys.

unbelievable...now i know why some of the other members stopped posting fishing reports (including myself)...not worth it.
