Between December and April, Murphy Sportfishing in Port Alberni offers daily guided boat trips for winter steelhead. This fishery, as many of you have read in reports, can be very productive due to the strong hatchery supplement. Guides of Murphy's Sportfishing use 17ft tiller jet boats, which can carry up to three occupants and are set up perfectly for fishing this system in both low and high waters. Most of the fishing is done off anchor, coving new waters all day. Bait and all fishing equipment are supplied, but you are also welcome to bring your own. The cost of this one-day guided boat trip is $210.00/person.
