we let him walk, we would have let tyhe hounds on him but we only had 2 of the 5, 3 were MIA and the 2 we had were beat tired

to early to kill a bear, plus i promised my daughter the next bear and she wasn't with us...

nice, well I just took my core and PaL a month ago and just got my hunters licence last friday. I'm still waiting for that PAL, but that didn't stop me from buying guns with my friends help haha (browning BPS 12 ga, Ruger M77R MK II in 30.06 and a Savage .17HMR).

Hopefully I'll get my PAL before bear season closes on june 15th 8)

derp you can still legally hunt with your "buddies" guns...as long as you guys hunt together

yeah thing is, i just got into hunting and dont really have hunting buddies (my friends dont hunt legally). I just know one guy who I go shooting at the range sometime who helped me with the gun situation. I'll see if I can go with him, but he's very busy.

I'm gonna have to find some huntin pals haha

its a pretty young bear. But nice coat. Reiber u dont need buddies, just a hell of a lot of pacience and determination. Try and research and learn as much as u can and then go out and try the techniques.

i was on the island for few days last week.. Passed up 1/2 doz bear, too small.. most of them in the 5- 5 1/2 foot range...

Neighbor went to boston bar, saw like 8 bears but they're all like 4 1/2 - 51/2 feet. He shot a 6 footer last year and wants to do better or get a blonde.

Thats so funny because i have a friend Bob Brown in chilliwack with some plotts /red bone/ and black and tan coonhounds, he hunts bears and mountian lions.

I have a black and tan  bloodhound.
