i have given my core course book to a few friends now and they have studied it at home and then gone in and challenged the exam and practical (firearms handling). All of them have passed the core on the first attempt. I believe you can buy the core book at a gun shop or maybe someone on here can pick one up and send it to you. Then all you need do is study, find a buddy to quiz you and when you are comfortable, take a day or 2 to travel to a town that has an instructor who can allow you to challenge the exam. WAY better than waiting a whole year to get it behind you.

yeah, that is a great idea. Looking back now, I realize that if I just read the book without taking the course, I wouldve saved alot of money plus it would be a great time saver!

That might work, gonna check that out, cheers!
