I got 2 months to wait. Goin to revelstoke for them! But might check out a spot in the lower mainland for a brute we've seen(me,dad, neighbor, his son) He's 6ft for sure and is huge. But he's about a days hike back into the woods, gotta take all the meat out! >:( All so i cant eat the meat and just get the hide. >:(

I'm going back to the island in about a month for the spring bear hunt.. Spoted one last year, that might have been a B/C but we couldn't get to him... But this time, we know the road, hopefully he will poke his head out and give me a shot....

There's one in squamish that is B/C but one he will weigh about 300lbs, he's a 2 day hike in, and another out. Spotted him from ontop of another mountain, he was huge!

Saw one by the highway on to way to Ucluelet today. First of the year for me.

last year a CO told us there was a 900lb griz up there and I have personally seen prints in some back channels that are way larger than any 300lber would make. Time to bring out the spray!

According to some locals and CO's there are more griz than one would think up the Ashlu/Squamish river valley. One guy said about 10 - 15 of em. They migrate in and out yearly.
Ive seen some dinner plate sized paw prints up there as well :o
-
goin to revelstoke in next month for a griz draw.

I'm looking to head out locally maybe next weekend anybody wanna come with?
-
Region 3 is still to cold for the bears to come out. I won’t start looking for them until mid May. ;)
-
Ive heard of a few being seen, my buddy in kamloops has seen zero...although i read online of a nice brown bear killed in region 3, I heard through the grape vine it was in Cache Creek. And one seen in Chehalis Lake area.
With todays weather im itching to get out...
I'm heading to the Nathatlatch lake this coming weekend to take a look...leaving ealry Sat and coming home Sun.
-
Saw a nice black bear out in grand forks...though I'd never shoot one unless I was in danger.
-
was he big one?
-
nah maybe a couple hundred pounds...not huge.
