I found a couple of spots in region 2 that had tons of cat tracks late in the season; that may hay explain the lack of deer in the area at the time.

having been stalked by a large cat on a fishing outing a couple years ago.... backside of the slab run on the vedder... My eyes are always peeled for signs of these terrific cats. I have never purposefully hunted them but there is a spot i go for moose where i have caughten a glimpse a few times. Whenever i go on a trip up there i pick up a cougar tag just in case. I was served cougar for dinner one night at a friend's place in terrace and it was amazingly good, downright delicious actually. Also as far as having taxidermied animals in my hunting/fishing room.....one of my hunting goals is to harvest a large cougar and have a full body stuffed cougar as an addition to the rooms decor.
