Big fish, but I have my doubts about 36 lbs!! He didn't even hold it up for a sec. But yeah nice fish, made even more colorful by all the red on it!! ;D
-
I don't know about 36 pounds but that is a masive fish :o
-
i think 29,30,31lbs no more. ITs old and its lost weight, when it was fresh probably 36. Thats still a huge fish. Seen the video before!
-
id say 23-25 lbs
not near the 30s

Ya and it was flossed LOL ;) OK maybe it wasnt but for us that still have not had a steelhead on the fly we have to make up some reason :D

Oh yeah, that was on the fly!! You know the world record for a steely is just over 42 lbs right? So 36 seems a bit big. I could hold a measuring tape up to a fish at a distance not show you and say it was 108cm as well, doesn't mean I am telling the truth!! ;D ;D We are fisherman man, that leaves a bit of room for error!! ;D

Background music is also a bit cheesy. Sounds like a dodgy European low-budget porn film.

Only way that fish is 36, even 26lbs is if its packed full of pencil lead!
-
the title of that vid says its a 36lb fish then the intro of the movie says its a 34 lb fish..... and look at the size of the fish compaired to the people...... theres no way that fish is over a meter long, yea nice fish, 20 sumthin lb's but not 36
-
i'm with you Bill
and i'd say it's over 30, but who cares, nice fish regardless. True, the kispiox fish are a marvel. Haven't fished that one yet... maybe next year. The Maurice has some awesome fish as well, and a few others up that way. Rivers like our northern ones make the vedder look like childsplay. Not to knock our lower mainland steelhead, because they are a true prize as well but pound for pound, they just don't hold a candle to the fish we have hooked on the copper, the maurice ect.

definately a fish over 30 lbs!!
-
he cant get his hand around the base of the tail. 23 lbs ahaha i bet this fish is near the formula weight
-
Closer to 20 than 30 lbs. is my guess.
Sure looked like it was half dead and after the way it was dogged for so long it probably is.
-
All I have to say is nice fish I can only dream of a steely that big on the fly ;D
-
forget north, the T produces the odd 30 sometimes. The Skeena watershed has some of the biggest steelies in the world! heading up there in 2 years, gonna hook one of those beasts! ;D
-
Lol you havent even fished there ?
