Title: Flounder..... "ok to eat or Not"
Post by: THE_ROE_SLINGER on July 06, 2006, 01:27:34 PM
every now and then we go out by cates park and catch some soul and flounder. We find they taste really good. However the other day we were told not to eat them due to extremly high mercury levels and other various reasons. Can anyone clarify this. Thanks

Mercury accumlates over time.. Sole and flounder are short lived fish-- I dont see a problem. Just dont eat any dogfish from there!!!!!

know what it's made of. A fishing guide in Bamfield use to work in a commercial hake ship. He told us that Mcdonalds would order the Hake from them.

hakes a good eating fish ;) thats good to know...they represent lings

anyways... id say the flounders are good to eat
