Sorry folks but just had to use that as an intro.....but when it comes to fly fishing I am truly a dumbutt......I am trying to learn....a lot .........but the learning curve is very steep.
I have two fly rods...both 5/6 weight...both loaded with float and am trying to learn how to tie as well. I am having trouble with learning how to cast.....things puddle at my feet....no joy there.
I am currently living in Hope BC so if there is anyone that can help teach a dumbutt newbie how to cast and do a bit of fly fishing I would surely appreciate it......I might even buy the beer.

Read your post on the other site. Welcome. I realize that it is a long haul from hope to Coq. for a fly casting class. I will be doing two for Mission Parks & Rec May 13 & June 3; if that helps. If you are planning on attending the Boat & Sportsman Show I an sure one of us helping Rod could give some pointers. Other than that I recomend you read "Joan Wulff's Fly Casting Techniques".

i have fly fished for about 10years so im stil kind of a rookie but a friend taught me if you dont get out on a regular basis first thing to do is strech out your line cause when you have the line in the boat or whereever its not all coiled up and it makes for a easier cast the memory of the line in the reel is gone

Ko....thanks for the advice....it is appreciated.
