I wasn't sure if i was going to be able to make it out this weekend due to a bout with brochitis but when the alarm went this morning i was feeling allot better so i headed out with Bigsteel and guppy with high expectations to connect with some fish today. We arrived at our chosen run at about 7 am to find nobody at the run on the lower river and the water had cleared up considerably since yesterday,i started with roesacks at the top of the run and fished the entire area with not so much as a sniff, the same goes for b.S. and guppy, then decided to run a blade through it also with no success. We did not see any fish taken around us on the lower river so we decided to head up river were i have had success earlier in the week, the water in the upper was gin clear,my third cast into the run with a colorado blade and float down and the battle ensues, the fish puts up a solid scrap with good headshakes and some solid runs before coming to hand for a couple pics, fished a few more minutes there with no takers so we decided to try another run with no success so it was back to were i got the first fish and this time on roesacks my float gets slammed under so hard i thought this one must be a monster, the fish started to take line and showed off some jumping ability before i was able to land it just down stream of were it was hooked,a couple of pics and another wild is back on its way to the river.fished for a little longer with no success ,time to call it a day the weather is starting to turn nasty,no fish today for Big steel or Guppy but they both had a great day,as per usuall when i have more success than B.S. I am blessed with his usuall comment of you suck,B.s. thanks for working the camera so well today.

Has Searun been "smoking" fish again  inhaling all that Omega 3
-
Well what ever he has been doing it has worked!! ;D ;D It was rather entertaining to see him say where a fish would be, then on his second or third cast, pull one out while everyone else had gotten nothing!! ;) Started to get a bit annoying though when he did it a second time!! :P ::) ;D

returned late last night from 2 days of fishing, fished my favorite spot up east harrison an saturday, was great fun. no steelhead but ... my other favorite sea run trout were present in good numbers up to 22 inches.
sunday was a day spent on the back side of the upper chilliwack, fished a few hours in the morning and managed a 5 or 6 lbs wild doe and a bigger rosy cheeked buck. 1 on a frenchie and 1 on a prawn 5 th cast and 12 th cast in the same drift. was not having much fun with the weather yesterday so only fished first light to 10:30.
by the way, relating to comments recently about gammies..... i changed from the barbless # 1's and though i don't generally fish 1/0, with the prawn you kinda have too, so both fish hooked today, none lost on the first headshake, I'm stickin to pinchin and filing my gammies from now on.

Wow :o nice steelie there searun! Silver blade in that clear water?
-
yes silver colorado the steelies seem to love them in the deeper runs particularly if you can manage to bump them across the tops of the bigger boulders , it seems to really piss them off, styker my IQ is not thirteen it is fourteen which is double that of most people i know, personally i feel pretty good about myself thats why i choose my friends very carefully, cant have anybody hanging around with more brains its damaging to the ego,lol no i don't smoke salmon they are to hard to roll. ;D :D :)
