First trip of the year, finally! Nice to walk the river valley again and be surrounded by misty temperate forests. The day was wet and cold, rather unpleasant if you ask me. River condition was perfect, but the fishing was awfully slow compared to past seasons. We fished for 6 hours in total. Shane managed to hook up two fish and landing one of them, which was a good size bull trout. I finally caught a fish on a fly that I tied up, a bull trout that was slightly smaller than Shane's.
I need a haircut.

Very nice looking fish Rod.
What are they biting on?

Obviously not whatever are swimming in the river right now, since my fly looks nothing like any of those.
