Title: Local flow jan 19
Post by: cohoslayer1 on January 19, 2006, 06:07:19 PM
I went out today around 130, a little late but was the only time i could go out

I just at my usually spot and brought my purple bike again. so i set up another sweet worm and started fishing and walking upstream. When i get to top i turned around and started fishing down stream. when i got to the spot i started from with no luck. I was just going to get my bike from the bush and was not there ??? ??? so i start running to the trail to the road and there are some fresh tire tracts and so i start to run faster to see if i can catch the guy stealing my bike >:( so when i get to the road there is no sight of it. So i was pissed off now. so i walked down stream to see if anyone has seen someone riding my bike but no has seen it. So i go to another run and i start fishing again all pissed off. So in about 4 minutes in ,i look away from my float for about 5 secs and i look back and there is no float, so i set the hook. 2 head shakes and a chrome flash and popped the hook. I guess i sould of been watching my float and got a better hook set. Oh well, so i fish down  stream and noting so i go. look for my bike will walking to a new spot. i got noting the rest of the day

So if anyone has seen my bike or if you see it laying around somewhere just pm me

Thanks,

God, that totally sucks Slayer!! ??? :(  I just wish that you had been able to get a better hookset on the fish!!  It might have taken the sting out of getting your bike ripped off if you had landed one!!

I have a mountain bike I haven't used for a long time if you want it. It needs some TLC (tender love and care). But I think it works fine. Probably just needs some greese on the chain, and some cleaning up. It is dark blue.

Anyway, if you want it, send me a message. If you live close to me you can pick it up. If you are not, I can drop it off to you.

I spent years riding my bike to my local river when I was a kid, so I know how you must feel.

At least you got the thrill of the hookup! :)

Whereabouts did this happened ? Lickman or Peach ? I've seen some very shady people around Lickman. They tend to hang around the cars pretending to be looking for their keys. They quickly disappeared if you stare at them.

CS, too bad about the bike. I've had my bikes stolen twice in the past so I know how that feels.

A tip on the report though. Local is not a region, a town, or a location. The term local flow is interpreted differently from one person to another, due to the fact that people live in different places. If you want to post a report, yet avoid drawing attention onto your "secret" fishing spots (which is kind of ironic. If I don't want people to know where I am fishing, I don't tell people about my trip at all), post a general geographical name of your whereabouts. For example: Maple Ridge January 19th, or even more general, Northern Fraser Valley January 19th, or Lower Fraser Tributary January 19th. :)

As for the purple bike, it should have a serial number under the seat. If you have that number you might want to submit it to your local RCMP detachment along with a brief description of the bike.
