It finally came my best day of my life
I first started at 11:00 in the morning when i was tie up some nice worms. after i was done i went to see if i can get a ride to a local river. So i got there around 11:30 and started at mt usually spot and worked up the river and back down but with no luck so i went to a couple of new spots and worked the river again but still with no luck . it was around 3:30 and i give my dad a call and he said he can pick me up in a hour. so i decide to try my bad luck once more at a new whole. so i was going to tie on a new worm but i coundent find my new pack of gammys. I must of left them somewhere. so i walk to my bike all pissed off and go to the new and last spot of the day. I arrive at the spot and there are a family fishing for cutties. so i talk to them for a bit wasting time. so i knew this spot would be useless and decided to walk up stream. As i approach the spot it looks pretty good except that there was tree across the hole. so i climb over the tree. and pull out the hook . i thought to my self i cant screw up this cast. so it was pretty good but i let it drift to long and got tangled in the tree so i pull on it and it comes free. first luck of the day. so i cast again and it was perfect but noting. I do 2 more cast and on the next one it was not that good but i left it and the float shoots down, so my rod goes up and it was a snag or a stick because it was coming to me. but then it i realize this is a giant STEELHEAD!!! ;D ;D so i start to real it in and it does noting and sitting at the bottom. so after about a minute of just sitting there it explodes up stream and does a jump and shoots down to-words the log :o so i pull the line around the log and jump over it and go down steam to the fish. and then the fish does a a couple of small runs and i slowly pull it closer to me. As it got closer it got bigger and bigger. when i get it in i see the size of the steel. I grab it by the tail and i cant even go half way around it. i pull the hook out and look at it for a couple secs and i would say it was 18 to 20lb.
the width on it was at least 4 inches and was around 36 37 inches long and really fat. But later that day i said to my self bring the camera but i was half way to the river and i just remember it then. This was the only time i forgot the camera out of 8 times of going. there was always next time tho ;D i cant wait till next weekend now ;D
