Arrived at my favourite Make Belief free run late this morning. As I walking to the river I can't help but noticed the number of dead Maple Leaves littering the trail leading to the river. Just as the hockey team that bears the name, the leaves all were dead and providing nutrients to the future generation. The river is in perfect condition with excellent visibility. I started with a small BC Orange gooey bob with a tuft of peach yarn, a periennal producer but no luck on this day. After 10 minutes I switched over to roe bag. On the third cast I had a takedown but unfortunately nothing good came of it. I then switched over to a blade. A few minutes later I had a couple of tomato cohos followed it to shore but turned away. All in all an excellent day to be out on the flow getting some fresh air and exercise. There were only one other fisherman where I was.
